2008 Labor day carnival is celebrated in Brooklyn yearly organize by the WIADCA . The main carnival is held on Labor day but the celebration starts weeks in advance with selected events thats leads up to Labor day.The Parade which was originally held in Harlem and then move to Brooklyn has become the largest parade in the city of New York..Every first monday in September Eastern Parkway is engulf with Caribbean delights, ridims,Arts and the beautiful aroma of Caribbean delicacies.
Millions of spectators commute to Brooklyn to witness this world class event known as Labor day carnival.Masqueraders and revelers alike arrives on the parkway in the early morning before the sun comes up and leaves at sunset usually after the sanitation and police department disperse the crowd. 2008 Laborday carnival was no different it had all the enthusiasm and jubilation of its predecessors with an excess of a million spectators and the usuall big trucks,exotic costumes,gyrating masqueraders,heavy police presence lead by NYC public servants.
